A two-storey extension can offer you more living space, as well as transforming the look of your property from the outside. If you already have one storey extended, it can be a great way to make use of the otherwise wasted space, providing a long-term investment as it will inevitably help to increase the value of your property. If you are thinking of opting for a one-storey extension, a two-storey extension will not cost much more as the foundations will already be there from the first storey extension.
There are plenty of double storey ideas to be discovered, and here we have two examples of two-storey extensions that we have carried out. The first example meant two additional bedrooms were created from the existing single-storey side extension and garage. The lean-to conservatory area was replaced with a walk-in bay window, and the kitchen and dining room were transformed to make a much larger area. Secondly, a third-bedroom semi-detached house was extended to include a fourth bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and walk-in wardrobe, as well as a large kitchen and dining room on the ground floor, with an open plan feel.
